MOBILE HOME IN SPAIN NEWSLETTER ARCHIVE NOV 2015
** Some of the content might not be relevant on the date of reading this**
Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca. During October the owners of Park La Posada on the Costa del Sol welcomed Manuel and Trinidad the owners of Paradise Park which is situated on the Costa Blanca. It was the first time the owners of both dedicated residential mobile home parks in Spain had met.
Following the park visit, a traditional Spanish business lunch was arranged for all by Martin and Steve in the local restaurant “Candida” to discuss with both park owners a New Mobile Homes Inspection Visit idea we want to introduce in 2016.
The idea is quite simple but it needed both parks to agree. Needless to say the meeting (and lunch) was as good as we thought it would be and everyone involved liked our idea.
So what was it all about? Well to begin with we at Costa Difference Ltd know that we are lucky enough to be representing two of the top retirement residential only parks in Spain for new mobile homes. Two very different style of parks of course with different lifestyles on offer. On Park La Posada there are resale mobile homes as well as plots for new, and on Paradise Park there are plots ready for new mobile homesbut no resale homes. That is where the new visit format came in.
The problem we pose to all our website visitors is which of the two parks they should visit first if thinking about the idea of purchasing a new mobile home in Spain. A problem not made any easier by the fact that the parks are a 4 hours’ drive apart. One park on the Costa del Sol and one on the Costa Blanca.
So, with everyone in agreement following the lunchtime meeting we will now be starting in March 2016 to offer longer inspection visits once a month for people considering buying a new mobile home. The longer visits will offered only to newsletter subscribers and will be on a specific week in March, April and May to include both parks during the same visit.
The visits will run over 6 days and will include 5 nights hotel accommodation. The visit will include 2 nights stay in Antequera whilst seeing Park La Posada, 2 nights stay in Albatera seeing Paradise Park, and one special night in Granada or Almeria the night before flying back to the UK. Of course we will be looking after all the travelling within Spain as well starting and finishing at the airport..
On offer on both parks will be new mobile homes from Willerby, Pemberton and Victory. Both parks have plots ready for new homes and of course the new mobile homes themselves can be seen in the UK should a park be chosen. There are now 35 different models on offer on both parks and more information on the homes including the prices can be found at www.costacaravansinspain.com
>>>Full 2 park visit details will be in next month’s newsletter<<<
The lifestyle: Writing a newsletter at the end of October makes it very easy to point out the most important aspect of the lifestyle. The weather. With it getting cold, wet and dark in the UK the sunshine found in Spain becomes the main reason why all the residents enjoy living here.
One group of residents have a bigger reason to thank their lucky stars they live in Spain. Dog owners. With the summer sun now history they can walk their dogs at any time of the day now and they know they will be very unlucky if they catch a single drop of rain.
Talking about walking dogs, it is also interesting to note that on many occasions residents who do not own dogs are happy to walk someone else’s dog if the need arises. If an owner is not feeling so good one day it is nice to know that the pet will still enjoy a good walk. That is where the community spirit comes in.
>>>Both parks are poop scoop parks with great walks all round<<<
Team work: October was a very busy month for showing the parks. At one stage we were fully booked during a three day period. This has never happened before. Our system of using residents on the park to show visitors around and cover airport transfers works very well. Visitors love getting all the answers from someone already enjoying the lifestyle.
For that reason we have to say a very big “thank you” to everyone involved in showing the parks in October. They did a fantastic job. Every visitor complimented us on the way their visit went. Regular visitors to our website will have seen that resale mobile homes were going under offer week in and week out during such a busy month and that is all down to the way the parks and lifestyle is shown.
Moving to Spain is a big move for anyone of course but it is a lot easier if you feel you already have friends on the park waiting for you to arrive.
>>>Visits can and do give you confidence to live in Spain<<<
Home of interest: In October we did a price alert on a BK Bluebird Sheraton which had just gone on sale. Built in 2007 this is a wonderful home for anyone wanting to move into the perfect residential home. It has quality throughout and of course comes with all the decking built.
With a guide price of only £35,000 you can now buy a top range model home with everything in place. Retiring to Spain to live could not be any easier. You can enjoy all the benifits of living in Spain and keep your money in the bank.
Take a look at the video and see what you think. https://youtu.be/VGs6V2XKigk
Being a quality resale mobile home it is sited on Park la Posada and on a 200 sq mtr landscaped plot.
>>>You do not need spend a fortune living in Spain<<<
The latest show home: The new show home that was re-designed by Martin and Mel at the Hull show in September is set to arrive on Park La Posada in the next few weeks. It will be on sale as well as being a show home. As most newsletter subscribers will know we ran a competition earlier this year to find a name for this one-off unique home. Many thanks to all who entered giving us many names to consider.
The winner ironically was a park manager who made an off-the-cuff suggestion during the Hull show itself. We say park manager because that is all we know about him. He only stopped by at the Costa Difference stand at the Willerby display area for a few moments. During those few moments he said what he did for a living and suggested a name. He then walked away to see the rest of the new mobile homeson display.
The name he suggested in passing was considered perfect for a new model mobile home in Europe.
So, in the event he is also signed up to receive our newsletter we say this. If you are the person who spoke to Martin at the Hull show in September and suggested the name of “Cordial” please get in touch. We know which country the park he managed was in and we know what he looked like so it will be easy to confirm he is the winner.
What will the new “Cordial” model be like?
It will be a two bedroom mobile home based originally on the Victory Coaster model. The lounge will have two black leather sofas sitting comfortably on the wood effect flooring extending from the kitchen. The built in dining area that the Coaster has goes and is replaced with a 4 person dining table and chairs. In the centre of the lounge will be a nice cream rug and coffee table.
The design of this home is such that there is room to add some of your existing furniture as well. The price of the home is very attractive. Fully installed and ready to move into for only £29,999
>>>This is show home can also be bought unfurnished<<<
Forward planning: The Internet is perfect for forward planning. However, you have to be very careful that the information you are reading is not out of date. This is one of the downsides on with the internet. With the changes Spain and the EU introduce for a past time coming in all the time you need to be looking at up to date information.
For that reason one of the top websites we recommend checking out is the UK Gov Madrid consulate website. https://www.gov.uk/government/
For information about pensions, taxes and health care in Spain that website will always be bang up to date. It will also not contain opinions which is a second curse that comes with the Internet. People can and do quite often confuse opinion with fact.
On visiting the site you will see a vast amount of information useful for anyone thinking of retiring to Spain. On the plus side you do not need to worry about any paperwork once you do move to Spain. The parks take care of all that for you. It does however pay to know what the park will be doing for you. Things have changed a lot over the years. Now the parks are even more useful as they are on hand to help you through the transition from living in the UK to living in Spain.
>>>Making an informed decision is all it takes<<<
Spanish you will hear: Living in real Spain is one huge part of the retirement lifestyle (it is not all about park life), so why not let us help you in advance to understand a few words that the residents hear all the time when they venture into real Spain, which as you already know begins as soon as they leave the park.
On the subject of learning Spanish, at the Beaulieu show we met Dennis Wilson who told us he was learning Spanish as he was very interested in moving onto a park in Spain. We enjoyed a good chat together and he left with our leaflets in hand. Once we were back in Spain we received an email from him, giving us great information about how he was learning Spanish. This month we are going to share two of his methods. Thanks a lot Dennis
1 Duolingo – I would recommend this as a very good starting point it is very well structured and it lets you choose how much you want to learn, shows your progress and sends you reminders to practice. www.duolingo.com
2 Lightspeedspanish – Gordon and Cynthia are a husband and wife team. Gordon is English and Cynthia is Spanish and they are both language teachers. They offer free video, audio and fact sheets you can sign up for their newsletter. You can also pay for lessons with them if you wish. They also do English courses for Spanish speakers. www.lightspeedspanish.co.uk
>>> The lifestyle is great so why not try and say a few words in Spanish <<<
Finally: Listening to all the park owners talking over lunch in Spanish the other day made us realise just how lucky we were in dealing with people who knew exactly what they want as far as their parks were concerned. Each park owner had a different vision for their park and each was more than happy to discuss their visions. Clearly everyone involved wanted their park to be the best there is in their area.
As for Costa Difference, we also saw that our involvement was part of their vision also. They see our job as to pass on as much lifestyle information as we could and make it possible for anyone to come from the UK and see their parks without the slightest hint of “hard sell”.
We also saw that they welcomed our many suggestions. Steve speaks Spanish perfectly and Martin can hold his own which helps. It was agreed by everyone that Martin was best placed to run the first joint new mobile home park visit in March.
In the meantime we will continue to offer separate park lifestyle visits. For resale and new homes it is still Park La Posada only flying into Malaga. For new homes you have to choose which park to visit first, Park La Posada (Malaga Airport) or Paradise Park (Alicante Airport). As always which ever park you visit, our dedicated four day three night visit will only cost £69 per person with no single supplement.
To plan your lifestyle visit, why not call us using our **free phone** Inspection Visit hotline number 0800 772 3980. Derick, Steve and Martin are here to take your call from 9am to 10pm UK time 7 days a week.
**free when using UK landlines**
As always, many thanks for taking the time to read all this. We hope you have found the information worthwhile.

BUYING A RESALE MOBILE HOME
The process is very easy. First choose from the homes on sale on our website, the homes you would like to view on a visit.
If a home ticks all the boxes during your visit you simply make a purchase request.
If the seller agrees to the sale we then arrange for a legal sales agreement to be drawn up and signed by all parties. This service costs just 200 Euros and it also includes a home check of the boiler, air-conditioning, cooker, fridge and freezer by the park engineers just prior to completion. Paying for this service takes the home off sale straight away.
A 10% deposit is then paid into a "Client Account" within 14 days and remains there until the completion date which will be on or before three months after an offer has been accepted. .
Just prior to the completion date the home is checked, we take possession of the home, and you will be advised to make the final payment to the seller. Once it is confirmed that the payment has been made the home is then yours.
No wonder resale mobile homes are so popular.
BUYING A NEW HOME
Buying a new UK mobile home or a custom-built residential Park Lodge Home is very easy. It simply involves slightly different processes.
For UK manufactured mobile homes we are partnered with Mobile Homes Abroad Ltd the largest exporter of UK mobile homes. Check out the New Mobile Homes link above to see which UK manufacturers are represented.
For Park Lodge Homes designed and built in Alicante and Burgos it is a different process. Once a plot has been reserved you can either buy a predesigned by us home or start designing your own home exactly how you want it.
A short visit to the factory in Alicante is all it takes. Where to put a French Door? Where the lounge should go? What view from the kitchen window? Questions the designer will help you with
We also offer ready designed custom-built Park Lodge homes with a new show area going onto Park La Posada. Check out the Park Lodge Homes link at the top.
New UK mobile home or custom-built residential Park Lodge Home? The choice is yours after you have reserved your plot on a park. New homes require a 35% deposit and the balance paid once the home is ready to be transported from the UK. Park Lodge Homes require a 30% deposit and the balance when the home is ready to leave the factory.
WHY COSTA DIFFERENCE?
The name Costa Difference was chosen for a reason back in 2005. Costa as in Costa del Sol or Costa Blanca, and Difference because we want to show the difference between dedicated genuine residential mobile home parks and tourist camping sites that also allow mobile homes.
Making a difference is all down to being passionate in what we do. We are also working with park owners who share our passion. The result? We are showing wonderful residential mobile home parks that are without doubt the best retirement parks that Spain has to offer.
Having chosen to represent residential parks only we are now tasked by the park owners to help people see for themselves if living in Spain is really for them. Spain does not suit everyone which is why that aspect of what we do is so important.
So where does our service start? We think that perhaps it has already started with you reading this and all the other information we have provided online. Maybe you now have some questions for us? If so please feel free to contact us and ask them.
Once you feel that you have found all the answers the next stage is to seriously think about coming on a visit to see a residential park and the lifestyle the residents enjoy.
On a short-dedicated visit you will have a golden opportunity to talk to residents you meet whilst on the park. Asking them questions at the time is a great idea because you will be hearing about their genuine experiences.
The Costa Difference way is very different. Our testimonials come from the residents themselves face to face. They have all gone through the same experiences. Started by asking questions, then came on a visit. After that it is back to the UK with plenty to think about.
If you do the same and moving to Spain becomes your dream, then we are going to be with you all the way.
There are many “Costa” companies on the internet selling everything to do with Spain but there is only ONE Costa Difference Mobile Homes in Spain. To find us again easily why not bookmark this page. We are at your service.

LATEST NEWS FROM SPAIN
The head of the Red Cross urged European Union member states on Sunday to follow Spain's example of welcoming the rejected migrant ship and so "put into practice" the humanitarian values currently being promoted by the EU.
Spain has "opened its arms at a time when many countries are rejecting refugees," said Elhadj As Sy of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in the Spanish port of Valencia, where he was overseeing the arrival of 630 migrants from the Aquarius rescue boat.
