MOBILE HOME IN SPAIN NEWSLETTER ARCHIVE MAY 2010
May 2010** Some of the content might not be relevant on the date of reading this**
First: We were fortunate in that no clients of ours were out of pocket due to all the flights being cancelled for a week with the crisis over ash in the skies. Those who were already here were looked after until they returned to the UK. The Hotel we use in Antequera was also great. We of course had to cancel a few bookings with them as visitors booked for that week were stuck in the UK unable to get to Spain but they understood why we were going to refund our clients in full so they did not charge us a cancellation fee.
Other news: With the confirmation from the management of Park La Posada that the new plots on phase 2B were going to be ready for new mobile homes by the end of the year for certain, we are once again in a position to offer clients who are planning to retire in the next 12 months the chance to buy a new mobile home as well as taking a look at the resale homes that we have on the park at the moment. We can offer homes manufactured by all the UK manufacturers including the new Cambrian Ibiza 46 foot long model. There are already a few couples designing their dream home based on the many floor plans that range offers.
Holidays: We are now coming up to our busy time of year when a lot of people are able to find a bargain holiday here on the Costa del Sol. Taking a look at the parks and area whilst on holiday is a very cost effect way of satisfying your curiosity. Are the parks as good as they are made out? Are the homes suitable for living in all year? Are the residents happy to be living in Spain? We are more than happy to meet you here in Spain but please try and give us as much warning as possible. When we know you are coming we are more than happy to assist with such matters as directions or the best forms of transport to use. If on holiday in Nerja, Torremolinos or Benalmadena we do offer a hotel collection service and are happy to spend the day with you showing you the parks and answering your questions. There is a small charge for this service but it does allow for up to 4 people.
Questions we have been asked this month: Every month we have visitors asking us new questions and so we are going to keep this feature in the monthly newsletter. Question one was Why do we only offer parks near Antequera and only residential style ? The answer to this was simple, we are specialists in helping people retire to live in Spain. Joint camping and mobile home sites are fine except that we feel that the quality of life on offer is so much better on a dedicated park. Security and lifestyle are second to none and of course a community spirit ensures a happy retirement with many new friends. Question two was why do we not offer new mobile homes all the time? The answer for this was again down to the fact that plots on dedicated mobile home parks do not come up that often. La Posada is just that type of park.
Sky Satellite: Nobody likes to miss their soaps which is why every home is connected to a central dish that supplies quite a few homes. What is sometimes misunderstood however is that when a home is advertised as connected for satellite TV it is only referring to the dish being connected. A satellite receiver will still be needed however and if you are paying Sky a monthly charge for their subscription channels then your card will also be needed although you can get all the free channels without one.
Team news: With new homes now being offered on Park La Posada Derick is now being helped by John Robinson in the UK. John has had many years experience in helping people take a look at what homes are on offer and of course designing homes for those who want a home that is as individual as themselves. We also plan to take on new team members on Park Saydo and Park La Vina in the very near future to help deal with the many resale enquiries that we are getting for those parks in particular these days. The idea of having team members actually living on the parks themselves is one of the reasons why we are happy to show casual visitors around the parks. It enforces our no pressure approach . Simply tell us when you are coming (we can help with directions) and we will arrange for someone to meet you who will be more than happy to show you around their park. They will also be able to take you to the other parks as well.
