First: Happy Easter to all our newsletter subscribers, or should we say Feliz Semana Santa. The Spanish white villages started to celebrate the holy week last weekend with processions through the villages on Sunday the 28th of March. Over Easter weekend they then have the big processions with bands playing and villagers marching behind them with the statues from the village church.

Other news: The bowls club on Park La Posada is now established and we at Costa Difference Ltd are very pleased to be one of the club s sponsors. We wish the club every success in the future because we know that they hope to join the league as soon as the bowling green has been completed and of course inspected.

New website: We do as a lot of the regular newsletter readers will know always point out that if a move to Spain is being considered the homework must be done first and foremost and a visit to the parks forms the latter part of that process. To assist the newsletter subscribers and website visitors who are doing as much research as possible before planning a visit we have, along with Park Homes Spain SL our sister Spanish Company, launched the website which has a lot of useful information. The idea is to give potential residents a feel for the town and area prior to coming to visit. It will continue to grow in the coming months.

Day Visits: After you have done some research over the Internet we can now offer you 3 different ways to come and take a look for yourselves. The hotel pick up option from Toremollinos, Benalmadena and Nerja have been very popular recently. We are getting to know most of the good hotels now. A lot of people who are looking into the idea of retiring to Spain like the idea that they can book a holiday in the normal way and then have us collect them from their hotel.

From the three holiday locations stated we offer a hotel collection service and take you to see the parks and villages for the day. You get to see the lifestyle as well as being able to talk to the residents themselves. You can of course ask your guide a lot of questions on the way there as well.

Details of the hotel pick up service can be found on: and you can also book your day visit online. There is a small charge but does allow for up to 4 people. If anyone is considering this option it is very important to give us as much notice as possible please.

If you are going to be on holiday and have either a hire car or good access to Malaga bus station and fancy coming by bus, why not come to Antequera where we will meet you and spend a day showing you around. There is no charge at all for this service and details are on:

Short stay visits: You can also come on one on our dedicated 2 night 3 day visits. They are great for people who are ready to make the move to Spain and want to see which park best suits them. The cost of this service is only 49 per person based on two sharing and more details can be found on:

Weather: In both the January and February newsletters we spoke of a lot of rain. We are pleased to say that with the coming of March the warmer weather returned with some lovely sunny days. It has been a crazy year weather wise so far. Many of the old Spanish houses leaked because of so much rain. The old town houses were just not built to withstand weeks of rain. Not so with the mobile homes. They are built in the UK with the British weather in mind. That means the insulation works well in the winter keeping the home warm and dry and of course helping to keep them cooler in the summer.

Great value or unique: As always there are some great value homes on our website. However there are a few homes that should really be given a close look at as they are either incredible value or very unique.

Incredible value include which is a BK Bluebird Senator for only 36,000.

Unique include which is a ABI Beverly that has been completely changed inside.

There are some other homes that deserve a mention as well simply because they are like no other on the parks.

Finally: If ever there was a reason to go away on holiday during the month of May the General Election will be a good one to use. Most people are already fed up of hearing about it every day on the news. So, why not have a look and see if you can find a great value holiday in Toremollinos, Benalmadena or Nerja in May. The weather will be just perfect, and if you do manage to book a holiday why not reserve your one day visit to the parks at the same time. It can be done online at
