The Lawns: One of the biggest new mobile home shows in the UK. Based in the Hull University Halls of Residence grounds in Cottingham, near Hull itself. Held on the 5th and 6th of September . Do not be fooled though. There is also a second, smaller mobile home show held nearby at the golf course in Cottingham at the same time.

Last year, someone came to see us and unfortunately went to the wrong show. Two days later, they wrote and asked us why we were not there. So, if you cannot find the Willerby Homes display area, you are at the wrong show.

The annual Lawns show is where all the manufacturers launch their 2016 models, and that is why we have a display in the Willerby Homes arena. It will be the first time we see the new models as well. We have worked with Willerby Homes for many years, and we always try and do something special for the Lawns Show. This year, thanks to Park La Posada, we have again something special to offer.

We can now offer to transport a brand new Willerby Linear mobile home to Spainand install it FREE of charge onto Park La Posada. No transport or standard installation costs. This will save £10,000. You will only pay the RRP of the homeitself shown on the day. Imagine being able to buy a Linear mobile home in Spaincheaper than you can get one in the UK.

The savings can pay for a huge decking area which will make this home VERY special.

All time first: With a great team in place here in Spain, we have never before had a situation where everyone in Spain is working at the same time showing the parks and area. However, on the 12th, 13th and 14th of October that is indeed the case. Not that it is a problem for us at all, as we are used to more than one visit running at the same time. In fact, during the Spanish Experience week, we hired a 9 seater people carrier when 6 people all booked at the same time.

2015 so far has been our busiest year on record for showing the parks and area. Is the recession over? We think it is. Are we convinced it is the reason why so many people are coming to visit? No, we think it is because so many people are fed up with what is happening in the UK.

Why is everyone coming to see the parks we offer? We think it is because the older residential parks no longer have any plots available for new mobile homes, and the park and homes on them are beginning to  show their age now.

That is why we say to everyone coming to visit the Antequera area, a visit Park La Posada is a must and anyone visiting the Costa Blanca should visit Paradise Park. You will be seeing the best 100% residential parks there are.

Costa Blanca: Mainly known for the many large joint camping and mobile homeparks in the area, the Costa Blanca has been crying out for a 100% residential park. In Paradise Park, they now have one. It will never compete with the bigger parks of course, if you want a permanent “on holiday feel”, but it does offer something that no other park in Spain offers.

A very peaceful location surrounded by palm trees and fruit trees. There is no clubhouse or poolside bar, but there is however, a community of mobile homeowners who have come to Spain to live in Spain.

The village of Albatera is within walking distance, and that is where the residents go for their entertainment. For them, they do not want a poolside bar or restaurant. They like the idea of a small private pool near their mobile home.

Antequera town: Very Spanish and very Andalucian. Like every town in Spain, it has an annual Feria. A whole week of enjoyment. Antequera holds its Feria in August, and of course many residents joined in. Great music and dancing along with plenty to eat and drink. There was free Paella as well for those who went along lunchtimes.

The evenings were packed with many in traditional costumes. They looked fantastic.

What was very interesting however was how safe it felt even though it was so busy? Young and old enjoyed themselves immensely. There was never any hint of trouble. That is what most residents feel about living in Spain in general.

Costa Difference Ltd is based in Yeovil in Somerset. Once a quiet country town. Now it is very different, and no one likes to go into town on a busy Saturday night once they past the age of 50. The same is said about most towns now unfortunatly.

Private health care: Free reciprocal health care in Spain kicks in once one person reaches full retirement age. For everyone else, they can use private health care here in Spain to cover until retirement. Then, once retirement licks in you can either use both or cancel the private health care.

There are, as you can imagine lots of options here in Spain for private health care. However, for many people the first question will always be “roughly how much does health care cost in Spain?” It is only once you have the answer to that question can you then know if getting quotes from all health care providers is worth doing.

So, to help you get a simple no obligation health care quote, we have teamed up with a company called ASSSA Health Care here in Spain who are happy to provide our newsletter readers with a confidential health care cost quotation.

Their representative in their Benalmadena office, Susanne, will be the person who will help anyone who would like some idea as to health care costs. For more information or to get a quote from Susanne, go to the article about the company on

Forward planning: We are already well into the second half of 2015. Where has this year gone? Every year we say the same. However, now the kids are back at school the low cost airlines will be looking to fill their seats. November will have many bargains.

For our dedicated short 4 day 3 night visits, you need to look for flights that are 4 days apart. Seeing the parks for yourself will answer a lot of questions as always plus gives you a few days away.

As regular newsletter subscribers, know we only charge £69 per person (no single supplement) for our service. That includes airport transfers as well as three nights in the hotel Castilla. We use the hotel Castilla because it is right in the middle of the town, all the major hotels in the area are out of town and would require a taxi in the evenings. So much nicer being in the heart of town, you can really soak up the atmosphere.

Spanish you will hear: Living in real Spain is one huge part of the retirement lifestyle (it is not all about park life), so why not let us help you in advance to understand a few words that the residents hear all the time when they venture into real Spain, which as you already know begins as soon as they leave the park.

For this month, however, we are giving you a Spanish phrase to say that you are looking for somewhere. The supermarket, for example. To hopefully find what you are looking for you would use the Spanish for “Where is”. For that, you will use “Donde Esta” pronounced Don De Es Ta. Supermarket is Supermercardo but they will know what you mean if you used the word Supermarket.

Now to a trick. Always carry a small notepad with you. And pen, of course. Then they can draw you a map. We say this because you will never understand a long list of directions in Spanish coming back at you.

The notepad also works in the bar. When you are given a price you do not understand, just hand the pad to the barman and he will write the amount.

Finally: A new resident who used to live on their own in the UK before moving to Spain, stopped Martin and told him that Costa Difference did not explain the advantages of the parks for single people very well. In their words “living on the park has given them company and a social life they have never experienced before”.

Well, as strange as it may seem, there are indeed quite a few single people living on the park already. And yes, we can see how living within a caring communitywith plenty going on can indeed make a difference.

As for not promoting the idea? Well, in our defence we do not charge a single person more to visit the parks, and what we say about the quality of the parks and lifestyle applies to everyone.

To plan a visit yourself, why not call us using our **free phone** Inspection Visit hotline number 0800 772 3980. Derick, Steve and Martin are here to take your call from 9am to 10pm UK time 7 days a week.
